Webinar – Designing with Palms with Jason Dewees

Last week The International Palm Society invited you to our first free webinar. Over 150 people registered to listen in as palm expert Jason Dewees presented a slide talk about designing gardens with palms, showing examples of spectacular, well-designed landscapes from Hawai’i, California, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, all beautifully photographed by Caitlin Atkinson.

Jason’s 2018 book from Timber Press, Designing with Palms, earned the American Horticultural Society’s 2019 Book Award. He has spoken at the Huntington Botanical Gardens, UC Berkeley Botanical Garden, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Flamingo Gardens, and to numerous horticultural groups, including the Central Florida Palm & Cycad Society and the Hawai`i Island Palm Society.

A member of the International Palm Society (Northern California Chapter) since he was a teenager in the 1980s, Jason works as horticulturist at Flora Grubb Gardens in San Francisco and Grubb & Nadler Nurseries in Fallbrook, California. He serves as a horticultural advisor to clients ranging from the San Francisco Botanical Gardens and Conservatory of Flowers to landscape architects and home gardeners.
