I am palm enthusiast living by the beach in Santa Monica, California. Raised in the Midwest, I was fortunate to have a beloved grandmother in Miami, and we were frequent visitors to the Fairchild Tropical Garden. This began  my unbridled affection for tropical horticulture.

As a lifelong environmentalist I have been passionate about the preservation of tropical forests. I am equally interested in the preservation of our society and for that reason I wish to dedicate more time and energy to its continued viability.
