London Calling Edition
For the first time since 1997, the International Palm Society made an official visit to the historic Palm House on a glorious day at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Our itinerary also included the Chelsea Flower Show, a visit to Martin Gibbons’ Palm Centre in Richmond, and a trip across the Surrey Hills to Wakehurst Place (aka “Country Kew”).
AN EPIC DAY AT KEW
On Monday, May 24, 2023, the board of directors, benefactors, and invited guests were met by Richard Barley, Director of Gardens. Over the course of the week, they also visited the Palm House, the Temperate House, the Waterlily House, Herbarium, and other historic sites in and around London.
Also included in this issue is a board-approved update to the Benefactor level, effective January 1, 2024.
